Sergei Kostitsyn scores lone goal as Bulldogs shut out Senators 1-0

OTTAWA – Sergei Kostitsyn scored the lone goal as the Hamilton Bulldogs beat the Binghamton Senators 1-0 in American Hockey League play Sunday.

After a scoreless first two periods, Mathieu Darche fed Kostitsyn the puck from behind the net in the third. Kostitsyn’s one-timer beat Senators goaltender Mike Brodeur at 8:48 to give Hamilton the win.

Cedrick Desjardin made 31 saves for the shutout, while Brodeur stopped 33 shots.
