DALLAS (Ticker) — The San Jose Sharks have been near perfect at
home this season. Lately, they have not seen similar results on
Coming off a tough loss, San Jose hopes to snap a three-game
road losing streak when it visits the Dallas Stars in battle of
Pacific Division foes on Monday.
The Sharks are 18-0-2 at home this season, but fell to 9-4-1
away from HP Pavilion with Saturday’s 3-2 shootout loss to the
St. Louis Blues. They are 0-1-2 in their last three road games.
After a blazing start to the season, San Jose has seemingly
cooled off a bit, going 2-2-1 in its previous five contests.
Meanwhile, the Stars have won four of their last five –
including a 4-3 overtime triumph over the Anaheim Ducks on
Brad Richards, who is riding a five-game point streak, tallied
for the fourth consecutive contest and added an assist, while
Mike Ribeiro scored a key goal before Mike Modano capitalized in
the bonus format to secure the win.
Marty Turco is 5-0-1 in his last six starts, but has surrendered
five goals twice in that span.
