Tampa Bay goalie Mike Smith out with undisclosed lower-body injury

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Mike Smith missed Sunday’s game with New Jersey because of an undisclosed lower-body injury.

Olaf Kolzig replaced Smith, who is listed as day to day.

The Lightning recalled goalie Karri Ramo from Norfolk of the AHL to serve as Kolzig’s backup. Tampa Bay also brought up defenceman Jamie Heward from Norfolk.

Tampa Bay left wing Gary Roberts (upper body) and centre Chris Gratton (lower body) have been placed on injured reserve.
