2008/12/18:  Daniel Sedin led the Canucks to a 4-2 win over the Oilers Wednesday night with a three-point game. He had two goals and an assist with four shots on goal.

Stephen Valiquette, G, New York Rangers
2008/12/18:  Taking advantage of a rare start, Rangers backup goalie Stephen Valiquettemade 39 saves in their 3-2 overtime victory Wednesday night. Four of his saves came in overtime.

2008/12/18:  Entering the game with just two goals on the season, Rangers defenseman Michal Rozsival gave his club a 2-1 lead in the second period and scored the overtime winner in a 3-2 win in Los Angeles.

2008/12/18:  Young winger Dustin Brown had a goal and an assist in the Kings’ 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers Wednesday night. It was his third multi-point game in his last four games.

2008/12/18:  Veteran Predators winger Steve Sullivan finally took to the ice for a team practice on Tuesday for the first time since he hurt his back in February 2007. While it’s a positive step toward his return, there’s still no timetable, according to The Tennessean.

Erik Ersberg, G, Los Angeles Kings
2008/12/18:  The Kings announced on Wednesday that goalie Erik Ersberg will be out at least two weeks due to the pulled groin he suffered during Monday’s game. He and Jason LaBarbera have done a solid job splitting goaltending duties this season.
