2008/11/19: The Dallas Stars have recalled winger James Neal from the American League’s Manitoba Moose. INTEL: Neal produced two goals and four points in 12 games earlier this season but was assigned to the minors mainly due to salary-cap concerns. However, the team lost fellow winger B.J. Crombeen to St. Louis via waivers on Tuesday, which has opened the door for Neal. He should see regular playing time for the foreseeable future.

2008/11/18: New Jersey Devils winger Brian Rolston began skating on his own Tuesday morning before practice, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. The 35-year old has been sidelined since October 15 with a sprained ankle. No timetable has been set for his return as of yet.
Scott Gomez, C, New York Rangers
2008/11/18: New York Rangers pivot Scott Gomez will miss at least another week of action, according to the New York Post. Gomez has been sidelined since November 12 with an ankle injury, however it is not healing as quickly as expected.
Claude Lemieux, RW, Free Agent
2008/11/19: Various reports suggest 43-year-old veteran Claude Lemieux could be on the verge of signing an AHL contract soon. Lemieux, who is attempting a comeback after sitting out the last three seasons of competition, recently signed a contract with the China Sharks of the Asian League. The Sharks are owned by the NHL’s San Jose Sharks. Prior to that, Lemieux’s last professional campaign came in 2003-04 with EV Zug of the Swiss National Liga.
