The QMJHL’s Moncton Wildcats have Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania on their side

Mix junior hockey and wrestling legend Hulk Hogan and you get an amazing video of Hulkamania threatening to run wild all over the Halifax Mooseheads. The Hulkster gave a shoutout to the Moncton Wildcats, but he’s not the only professional wrestler to get in on some hockey action.

Hulk Hogan has been a lot of things throughout his career: wrestler, entertainer, athlete, actor, and spokesperson. And now, you can add hockey fan to that list.

From John Moore’s comes this clip of the Hulkster getting pumped up and backing the Moncton Wildcats before their contest with the Halifax Mooseheads:

No, Hogan doesn’t simply cheer for Moncton for some unknown reason. Cam Askew, a 17-year-old Wildcats center, is in a relationship with Hogan’s goddaughter, writes Buzzing The Net. One would imagine a dinner with the Hogans would be interesting.

Hogan’s not the only famous professional wrestler to partake in some hockey fandom, however. On Saturday, the legendary Ric Flair was in Syracuse to take in some AHL action, as the hometown Crunch took on the Springfield Falcons.

Flair’s appearance was a promotion run by the Crunch to get some extra fans in the building and to pay tribute to the 21-time World Champion. With Flair in the building, the Crunch attempted to style and profile their way to victory, but fell 2-1 to the visiting Falcons.
