Thrashers looking for better results in Boston

BOSTON (Ticker) — The Atlanta Thrashers had enough problems
with the Boston Bruins on their home ice.

The Thrashers now travel to TD Banknorth Garden to complete
their home-and-home series against the Bruins on Saturday.

Boston scored early and often Friday to make quick work of
woeful Atlanta.

Phil Kessel extended his points streak to 14 games with a goal
and two assists and defenseman Mark Stuart posted the first
two-goal performance of his career as the Bruins cruised to a
7-3 triumph over the Thrashers.

Milan Lucic and Michael Ryder recorded a goal and an assist
apiece while David Krejci and Marc Savard each set up a pair of
tallies for Boston, which scored on four of its first five shots
en route to improving to 15-2-1 in its last 18 games.

Stephane Yelle and captain Zdeno Chara also scored and Tim
Thomas made 30 saves for the Bruins, who have won four straight
meetings with the Thrashers and own a 10-1-1 record at home.

Todd White notched a goal and an assist, defenseman Boris
Valabik netted his first career tally and Vyacheslav Kozlov also
scored for Atlanta, which fell to 0-4-2 in its last six at home
and 2-8-2 in its last 12 overall.
