Trash talk heats up in Western Conference final and Los Angeles strikes deep

The trash talk wars are heating up between Los Angeles and Chicago and the Kings Twitter account struck at the core of the Windy City’s pride. Let the games continue.

The Los Angeles Kings evened the score with the Chicago Blackhawks in more ways than one on Wednesday. While the club rallied on the ice with five unanswered third period goals in Game 2 of the Western Conference final, the Kings’ official Twitter account got the better of Chicago in the Trash Talk Wars, striking deep at the heart of the Windy City’s civic pride. Very deep.

However, poking the bear is fraught with peril and loaded with backfire potential. And that’s what transpired on Wednesday, when Jonathan Quick put on a clinic, highlighted by several epic saves. Corey Crawford, meantime, was slightly less epic (unless you’re thinking Titanic). We expect Crawford and the Hawks to bounce back for Game 3 on Saturday and look forward to a long Western Conference final – one filled with highlight reel saves, sensational plays and crushing blows, both of the physical and verbal variety.
