U.S. broadcasters can learn from Canadian counterparts

We’ve all heard the hockey is not popular in the USA excuse: “I find it too hard to see the puck.” We remember the nightmare that was Fox’s glowing puck.

This is the problem in the USA: The TV coverage is terrible.

I was disappointed, for example, to see Detroit and San Jose move on in the playoffs because it meant I was going to have to watch their terrible coverage. For most American fans, watching games on TV is like watching games from the cheap nose bleed seats.

Can they get the cameras a little farther away from the action?
