VIDEO: One-on-one with Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Pavel Bure

With speed, skill and agility Pavel Bure is a talent for the books. Selected 113th overall in the 1989 NHL draft by the Vancouver Canucks, Bure became a fierce competitor right from the start. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy and helped lead Vancouver to the Stanley Cup final in 1994, just three years into his NHL career.

Nicknamed ‘The Russian Rocket,’ Bure averaged better than a point per game in his career, scoring 437 goals and recording 779 points in 702 contests.

THN’s Ken Campbell caught up with Bure at the Hockey Hall of Fame to discuss leaving Russia in the early-’90s, the injury that prematurely ended his career and more.
