Weber looks to help Predators notch third straight win

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) — All-Star defenseman Shea Weber
is becoming the straw that stirs the drink for the Nashville

Weber and the Predators seek another strong offensive
performance when they host the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday.

The lowest-scoring team in the NHL, Nashville received goals
from four different players in the third period Tuesday to storm
past the Chicago Blackhawks and record a 5-3 win in a battle of
Central Division rivals.

Weber and J.P. Dumont netted a power-play goal apiece and David
Legwand and Joel Ward also tallied in the decisive session for
the Predators, who scored five goals for the first time since
January 28.

After enduring a 14-game, goal-scoring drought, Weber has
tallied in two consecutive contests.

The Coyotes had their two-game winning streak halted with
Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues.

Phoenix, which has dropped 10 of 13 overall, will play six of
its next seven games on the road.
