Westcott’s overtime winner leads Syracuse to 2-1 triumph over Toronto

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Duvie Westcott’s goal 3:58 into overtime gave the Syracuse Crunch a much-needed 2-1 win over the Toronto Marlies on Friday night in the American Hockey League.

Westcott beat Marlies goaltender Justin Pogge for his first goal in 18 AHL games this season as the Crunch (28-26-2-5) extended their points streak to four games. The win moves Syracuse to within four points of eighth place in the crowded Western Conference standings.
