Wild bring Fredheim to help banged-up blue line; Zidlicky added to concussion list

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Wild have called up defenceman Kris Fredheim to make his NHL debut.

The Wild brought the 24-year-old Fredheim up from their AHL affiliate in Houston so he could play Thursday against Colorado. Fredheim led Houston with a plus-7 rating in 15 games.

Defenceman Marek Zidlicky suffered a concussion Tuesday at Columbus and won’t play Thursday. Defenceman Marco Scandella has a concussion and has missed the last two games. Guillaume Latendresse was placed on injured reserve Wednesday due to a concussion that has kept him out of the last three games.
