Zack Stortini scores two goals as Hamilton trounces Omaha 6-1

After a scoreless first period, Omaha (9-3-1-0) took a 1-0 lead 55 seconds into the second period when Carsen Germyn scored for his fourth goal of the season for the Knights.

The Bulldogs (5-6-0-1) responded with six unanswered goals including Stortini’s two, Maxim Lapierre’s fifth goal of the season, and goals from Duncan Milroy, Jonathan Ferland and Corey Locke.

Jaroslav Halak made 19 saves for the Bulldogs, while Curtis McElhinney stopped 30 shots for the Knights.

The Bulldogs were 1-for-7 on the power play, while the Knights were 0-5 with the man-advantage.
