The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Andrew Cogliano to a one-year extension worth $1.25 million.

Cogliano, 35, was an important member of Colorado's depth during the team's run for the Stanley Cup this year. Cogliano had six points in 16 playoff games after missing time due to an injury to kick off the Cup final.

Cogliano has played in 1,140 career games in 15 years, totalling 426 career points and 35 in the playoffs.

The 2022 Stanley Cup victory was the first of Cogliano's career. He was acquired from San Jose at the NHL trade deadline, and had previously played for Anaheim, Edmonton and Dallas.
