Battaglia scores in shootout and regulation as Marlies win 3-2 over Admirals

MILWAUKEE - Bates Battaglia scored in shootout to go with a goal and an assist in regulation as the Toronto Marlies edged the Milwaukee Admirals 3-2 in AHL action on Thursday night.

Tim Stapleton also scored in the shootout for Toronto, while Marlies winger Jiri Tlusty netted his seventh of the year in the second period.

Andreas Thuresson opened the scoring for the Admirals and Nick Spaling tied it up for Milwaukee with less than a minute left to play.

Mark Dekanich stopped 30 of 32 shots for MIlwaukee (24-9-1-2), while Justin Pogge made 22 saves for Toronto (20-14-0-3).
