Bell Centre goes out on sour note

Disgraceful, absolutely disgraceful is the only way I can describe the actions of the "classiest" fans on the night the Montreal Canadiens were eliminated from the playoffs by the Boston Bruins.

For a franchise steeped in tradition, the 21,000 fans in attendance should be ashamed of the way they carried themselves. Most people blame Mario Tremblay for the end of the Patrick Roy era, but it took me until Wednesday night to realize Habs nation is to blame.

Then to lay the blame of a playoff series loss squarely on the shoulders of a 21-year-old was just ridiculous. Mr. Price on behalf of every fan of the Canadiens organization I apologize to you for the way you were treated and I hope if you decide to continue your career in another city you will be successful.

Ted Clair, Kingston, Ont.
