Blackhawks assistant general manager Rick Dudley resigns after 3 seasons; joins Thrashers

CHICAGO - Blackhawks assistant general manager Rick Dudley has resigned after three years in that position and joined the Atlanta Thrashers as assistant GM.

Dudley spent four years in Chicago's hockey operation department, the last three as assistant GM.

"Rick has informed me that he has resigned from his position with the Blackhawks to pursue other opportunities," general manager Dale Tallon said in a statement released Thursday.
