Blackhawks C Andrew Shaw out for Game 2 against Minnesota Wild due to lower body injury

CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks scratched forwards Andrew Shaw and Brandon Bollig for Game 2 of their playoff series against the Minnesota Wild on Sunday.

Shaw left Friday night's series opener after he was hit hard by Minnesota defenceman Clayton Stoner in the first period. Shaw appeared to be favouring his right side as he made his way off the ice in Chicago's 5-2 win.

Coach Joel Quenneville said Shaw will travel with the team to Minnesota for Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals on Tuesday night.

"He's out for today," Quenneville said. "We'll see with next game, you know, we're looking at him likely playing."

Shaw has two goals and two assists in the playoffs after he had 20 goals and 19 assists in the regular season.

Bollig was a healthy scratch after he played in every game so far this season. The bruising winger is scoreless so far in the playoffs.

Kris Versteeg and Jeremy Morin were in for the Blackhawks. Versteeg was scratched for each of the two previous playoff games, and Morin was making his playoff debut.

For Minnesota, forward Justin Fontaine was active for Game 2 and Stephane Veilleux was among the scratches.
