Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell to miss first month of season with sprained knee
Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell will miss at least the first month of the 2010-11 season with a knee injury.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the offense-minded defenseman sprained his right knee in Friday’s pre-season win over Pittsburgh after he was hit along the boards and coach Joel Quenneville stated the 31-year-old would miss four or five weeks.
In 68 games last season, Campbell notched seven goals and 38points, adding five points in the post-season en route to the Stanley Cup.
