Blackhawks hope to keep rolling against Flames
Chicago (16-6-7) at Calgary (18-11-3), 9:00 p.m. EST
CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Chicago Blackhawks have put
their early-season struggles behind them.
Riding a five-game winning streak, the Blackhawks hope to
continue their success when they visit the Calgary Flames on
Friday.
Chicago is enjoying its longest run since winning six in a row
from December 26, 2001-January 6, 2002. The Blackhawks last
loss in regulation came on November 29, a 5-2 setback to the Los
Angeles Kings.
Chicago is 6-0-1 this month after closing November with a
three-game skid.
The club has also flourished under coach Joel Quenneville, who
took over for the fired Denis Savard after just four games.
Since the 1-2-1 start, Chicago has gone 15-4-6.
Calgary is looking for its third straight win following a
three-game losing streak.
The Flames are coming off a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild
on Wednesday, and defeated the St. Louis Blues, 6-3, one night
earlier.
The Flames are 10-1-0 when captain Jarome Iginla has more than
one point.
