Blue Jackets acquire RW Petr Kalus from Minnesota Wild for future considerations

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired right wing Petr Kalus (KAY'-lihs) from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for future considerations.

Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson announced the deal on Tuesday.

Kalus has been assigned to Springfield, Mass., of the American Hockey League, Columbus' top affiliate.

The 23-year-old has appeared in 11 career NHL games, totalling four goals and one assist with six penalty minutes with Boston and Minnesota. The Ostrava, Czech Republic, native has 39 goals and 40 assists along with 312 penalty minutes in 203 career AHL games, including six goals and two assists with 68 penalty minutes in 34 games with the Houston Aeros this season.

Kalus was Boston's second pick, 39th overall, in the 2005 draft.
