Blue Jackets activate veteran D Commodore, send D Holden to Springfield of AHL

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenceman Mike Commodore off injured reserve and assigned defenceman Nick Holden to Springfield of the American Hockey League.

General manager Scott Howson announced the moves on Friday.

The 30-year-old Commodore missed 10 games after he injured his hand on Oct. 9 against San Jose. He is scoreless with nine penalty minutes in his only two games this season.

The 23-year-old Holden made his NHL debut against Anaheim on Oct. 20 and was scoreless in five games with the Blue Jackets.
