Blue Jackets get Nikita Nikitin back from IR, but lose Jared Boll to foot injury

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets activated defenceman Nikita Nikitin off injured reserve Tuesday after he missed 12 games with a left knee injury.

The NHL club also right-winger Jared Boll on injured reserve retroactive to Feb. 9 after missing the last four games with a right foot injury.

Nikitin was hurt at Detroit on Feb. 21. He has two goals and 16 assists to go along with 10 penalty minutes in 38 games this season with Columbus and St. Louis. He was acquired from the Blues in exchange for defenceman Kris Russell on Nov. 11.

He is third among club defencemen in assists and points (18).

Boll has one goal, one assist and 91 penalty minutes in 40 games this season.
