Blue Jackets place Klesla in injured reserve, activate Novotny

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets placed defenceman Rostislav Klesla on injured reserve Thursday and activated forward Jiri Novotny.

The team said Klesla was injured in Tuesday night's 3-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche, but would not elaborate.

He was evaluated by team physicians and is expected to miss at least one week.

Klesla has one goal and five assists in 23 games this season.

Novotny has been sidelined since Jan. 3 and missed the past 15 games. He has one goal and three assists on the season.
