Blue Jackets score 3 goals in second to beat Malmo 4-1 in exhibition in Sweden

MALMO, Sweden - The Columbus Blue Jackets scored three second-period goals to beat the Malmo Redhawks 4-1 in an exhibition game Tuesday.

Antoine Vermette opened the scoring 13:12 into the first period, with Derick Brassard assisting.

Vermette then doubled the Blue Jackets' lead in the first minute of the second period. Jakub Voracek scored the third, and Mike Commodore put the Blue Jackets up 4-0.

Robin Alvarez found the net for the Swedish second-tier team in the third period.

It was the final pre-season game for the Blue Jackets before opening the NHL season with a pair of matches against the San Jose Sharks in Stockholm on Friday and Saturday.
