Boo birds be gone

Adam Hardy, Halifax, N.S.

I just finished reading Jason Kay's notebook in the April 26 edition about players being booed and happen to be watching the Penguins and Senators play.

Every time Sidney Crosby touches the puck, the cascade of boos rain down. But why?

Crosby is one of the classiest players in the league and has never done anything to the Senators or their fans.

I wonder if Ottawa fans, being Canadian, were upset he scored the golden goal for Canada in the Olympics?

Likely not.

Real hockey fans don't boo players just for the fun of it.
