Boston Bruins assign defenceman Matt Hunwick to Providence of AHL

BOSTON - The Boston Bruins assigned defenceman Matt Hunwick to Providence of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.

Hunwick was recalled by Boston twice this month, his first NHL appearances. He was to join Providence for a game against the Hartford Wolfpack on Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old has four assists in 11 games this season for Providence.
