Boston Bruins centre Patrice Bergeron released from hospital

Bergeron was hammered to the boards face-first by Flyers defenceman Randy Jones in the first period. Bergeron, a 22-year-old native of Ancienne-Lorette, Que., lost consciousness and was taken from the ice on a stretcher.

He was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where a team doctor said tests didn't show any other serious injuries to Bergeron's head or neck.

There was no immediate word on how long Bergeron might be out of the lineup. Bergeron has seven points (3-4) in 10 games this season.
