Boston Bruins send centre Yan Stastny down to Providence of AHL

The Bruins recalled Stastny on Wednesday, but he did not play in their 4-3 shootout win over Pittsburgh.

Stastny, 24, is in his second season with the Bruins after being acquired along with Marty Reasoner and Milan Lucic for Sergei Samsonov on March 9, 2006.

In 11 games with the Bruins this season, Stastny has one assist.
