Brock Bradford scores shootout winner as Monsters edge Bulldogs 5-4

CLEVELAND - Brock Bradford scored the shootout winner as the Lake Erie Monsters overcame the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-4 in American Hockey League play Friday.

The Monsters' T.J. Hensick and Hamilton's Brock Trotter made it 1-1 in the shootout before Bradford broke a scoreless three-round stalemate with his game winner.

Brian Willsie scored twice and added one assist for Lake Erie (26-24-4) in regulation while Philippe Dupuis and Hensick added one each.

Ben Maxwell, Shawn Belle, Ryan Russell and Trotter each scored for Hamilton (34-12-8).

Lake Erie goaltender Tyler Weiman made 34 saves for the win, while at the other end Curtis Sanford and Cedrick Desjardins combined to stop 21 shots.
