Brock Trotter scores shootout winner as Bulldogs beat Wolves 3-2

CHICAGO - Brock Trotter scored the shootout winner and Marc Denis made 36 saves as the Hamilton Bulldogs beat the Chicago Wolves 3-2 in AHL action Saturday.

After Hamilton forward Yanick Lehoux beat Wolves goaltender Ondrej Pavelec in the shootout, Brett Skinner tied it back up for the Chicago (35-32-2-2).

Two rounds later, Trotter scored the winner as Hamilton improved to 43-25-3-0.

Bulldogs forward Mike Glumac opened the scoring at 4:30 in the first period.

Chad Denny and Skinner replied for Chicago on second and third period goals, respectively, but Hamilton defenceman Yannick Weber made it 2-2 just 3:44 into the third.

Pavelec finished with 27 saves for the loss.
