    According to Canadian sports network TSN, Brooks Orpik has re-signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins for six years.

    The contract is reportedly worth $3.75 million per season.

    The 6-foot-2, 219-pound defenseman earned 12 points in 78 games for the Penguins this season and led the post-season in hits and blocked shots.

    The 28-year-old was originally selected 18th overall by the Pens in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
