Bruins hope to rebound against Wild

Minnesota (19-16-3) at Boston (29-6-4), 7:00 pm EST

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins had a pair of impressive

streaks snapped the last time out.

The Bruins will hope to bounce back Tuesday when they host the

Minnesota Wild.

Boston suffered a 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday,

ending a 10-game winning streak. The setback also snapped the

Bruins' 14-game winning streak at the TD Banknorth Garden.

Despite the loss, Boston is still 14-2-1 at home this season.

The Bruins also own a 12-point edge in the Northeast Division

and have the best record in the Eastern Conference by seven

points.

Niklas Backstrom made 33 saves to record his fourth shutout of

the season and Owen Nolan netted a pair of goals in the first

period, leading the Wild to a 2-0 victory over the Colorado

Avalanche on Sunday.

Backstrom stopped 10 shots in the first period, 12 more in the

next and 11 in the third to complete his 13th career blanking.
