Before their game agains Florida Tuesday, the Boston Bruins paid tribute to former winger and current Panther Shawn Thornton with a stirring tribute video.

During his seven years as a member of the Boston Bruins, rugged right winger Shawn Thornton developed a large fan base because of his passion both on the ice and in the community. So when Thornton returned for the first time to the place that had become his home as a member of the Florida Panthers, it was only proper for his former employer to salute him with a tribute video prior to Tuesday's game:

Thornton cemented his legacy in Boston as a member of the Bruins' 2011 Stanley Cup champions, but he burnished it with the connections he made to the area:

Clearly, Boston fans haven't forgotten him.
