Buffalo to host 2010-11 IIHF World Junior Championship

It's official, Buffalo will be the host of the IIHF World Junior Championship tournament in 2010-11.

The games for the event will be played at HSBC Arena, home of the Buffalo Sabres, and Niagara University's Dwyer Arena.

"All of Western New York will benefit greatly from this world-class event being staged right here in Buffalo," said Sabres owner Tom Golisano at the unveiling.
