Call penalties like it's the regular season

The state of refereeing in the NHL is laughable. Penalties are not penalties anymore once the playoffs hit.

People are hit head first into the boards and everyone cheers like it's a good check. But, the minute a player even thinks of tapping another guy on his pants, the ref’s arm goes up.

Teams that worked on their power play during the season to win games got an advantage in the playoff seeding, but they lose that advantage because the NHL, for some reason, is afraid of power plays in the playoffs.
