NEW YORK, N.Y. - Cam Talbot is getting his second straight start in goal for the New York Rangers, ahead of No. 1 netminder Henrik Lundqvist.

Talbot stopped 24 of 25 shots Sunday in a 4-1 win over Minnesota in his first start since Dec. 2 and was tabbed by coach Alain Vigneault to face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.

Vigneault says he felt Cam played a real good game and just decided to go with him. He also cited a stretch of four games in six nights for New York.

The 26-year-old Talbot is 7-2 with a 1.67 goals-against average and a .936 save percentage in 11 games in his first NHL season.

Lundqvist has struggled since signing a long contract extension, going 2-4-2 while making eight consecutive starts.
