Canada, Russia Women's Game Delayed Due to COVID-19

According to reports, a delay in a game between Canada and Russia in women's hockey action was caused because Canada has not received Russia's COVID-19 results for the day.

According to reports, a delay in a game between Canada and Russia in women's hockey action was caused because Canada has not received Russia's COVID-19 results for the day.

Canada did not take to the ice on time for the scheduled start of the game. Numerous players on Russia have been in and out of COVID-19 protocols already in this tournament. 

Hockey Canada requested a 60-minute delay, which the organizers granted. The game is set to begin at 13:15 Beijing time, or 12:15 AM ET.
