Canadian world junior to honour Luc Bourdon with stickers on helmet

OTTAWA - Canada's world junior team is planning to honour the memory of Luc Bourdon.

The Canadian players will wear `LB' stickers on their helmets during their tournament opener against the Czech Republic later Friday.

In addition, none of the team's players will don the No. 6 that Bourdon wore during the 2006 and 2007 world junior tounrnaments.

Bourdon was killed at age 21 in a motorcycle accident earlier this year.

Canada won gold both years Bourdon played on the world junior team.
