Canadiens can snap two-game losing skid against Blues

Montreal (9-4-2) at St. Louis (6-8-1), 6:00 pm EST

ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- After losing four of their last five

games, the Montreal Canadiens hope to get back to their winning

ways when they visit the St. Louis Blues on Sunday.

Trudging through a 1-3-1 stretch after starting the season

8-1-1, the Canadiens begin a three-game road trip with this one.

The Canadiens are coming off a 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia

Flyers on Saturday.

Carey Price was rested in favor of Jaroslav Halak against

Philadelphia and will likely be back in net. The 21-year-old

Price is 7-3-1 with a 2.68 goals-against average. He has never

faced the Blues.

Price failed to stymie the Boston Bruins on Thursday, though,

getting peppered for six goals on 31 shots in a 6-1 trouncing.

Meanwhile, St. Louis snapped a six-game losing streak with a 4-3

overtime victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday,

ending a disappointing five-game road trip on a positive note.

Andy McDonald scored two goals, while David Perron and Cam

Paddock each added a tally as the Blues won for the second time

since October 18, when they capped a 4-1-0 start to the season.

Blues veteran left wing Paul Kariya missed his fourth game with

an injured foot and his status for this game is uncertain.
