MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens recalled forward Aaron Palushaj from the American Hockey League's Hamilton Bulldogs on Monday to help fill their depleted roster.

Palushaj, 22, had two assists in the Bulldogs' season-opening 5-2 victory over the Rochester Americans on Saturday.

In five exhibition games with Montreal, the six-foot-one, 183-pound native of Northville, Mich., had one goal and three assists.
