Canadiens send defenceman Frederic St-Denis to AHL's Hamilton

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens assigned defenceman Frederic St-Denis to the American Hockey League's Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday.

St-Denis, 26, has played in 52 games for Hamilton this season, recording 28 points (three goals, 25 assists).

The five-foot-11, 182-pound native of Pointe-Claire, Que., has played 10 games with the Canadiens this season and made his NHL debut Nov. 16 in a 4-0 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

He scored his first career NHL goal on Dec. 8 in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Vancouver Canucks.
