Canucks, Panthers trading partners again: Vancouver gets Paetsch from Florida

VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks acquired Nathan Paetsch from the Florida Panthers on Thursday in exchange for fellow blue-liner Sean Zimmerman.

It was the second trade between the teams in two days.

Paetsch, 27, split last season between Columbus and Buffalo. He has 42 points in 167 career NHL games.

Zimmerman, 23, has spent the last two seasons with San Antonio in the American Hockey League. He has yet to play an NHL game.

On Wednesday, the Canucks sent Darcy Hordichuk to Florida for fellow tough guy Andrew Peters. The teams also combined on a five-player deal at this summer's draft, with defenceman Keith Ballard going to Vancouver.
