Carolina Hurricanes recall forward Brett Sutter from AHL's Charlotte Checkers

RALEIGH, N.C. - Brett Sutter is back with the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes recalled the 24-year-old Sutter from the AHL's Charlotte Checkers on Thursday. It marks the third NHL recall of the season for six-foot, 200-pound forward.

The native of Viking, Alta., has three assists in eight games this season with the Hurricanes. He's also registered five goals and seven assists in 28 games with the Checkers.

Sutter was selected in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2005 NHL entry draft by the Calgary Flames. He has appeared in 27 career games with Calgary and Carolina, having recording a goal and four assists.
