Carolina trades winger Craig Adams to Chicago for draft pick

CHICAGO - The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired winger Craig Adams from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2009 NHL entry draft.

Adams, 30, had two goals, three assists and 34 penalty minutes in 40 games with the Hurricanes this season. He has 77 points (33-44) and 337 penalty minutes in 427 NHL games.
