Cheers to Cheli

A Sad Day in Mudville it is indeed on the parting of ways between Chris Chelios and the Detroit Red Wings.

I have been a loyal fan of Cheli since his entry into the league and I admire him for his long and productive career.

I did not see him staying in Detroit under the current coaching staff and with the rise of young talent in the organization.

I would selfishly like to see him play one more year with the Blackhawks and finish out his storied career in his hometown.

Thanks, Chris, for your dedication to the game of hockey and I hope to see you keep playing.

You are to be admired for your determination not to mention skill.

Wishing you all the best!
