Haydar eclipsed the 31-game streak set by former Binghamton Whalers forward Mike Richard in 1987 with the game's first goal at 13:05 of the second period.
"It's good to have the streak on my mind because it keeps me pressing every night," said Haydar, whose stick and the puck from the record-breaking goal will be displayed in Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. "I have great players to play with every night which has made it very easy."
