I would have to disagree with The Hockey News for the first time in a while.

Reading that Steve Stamkos is the clear-cut Calder choice is pretty laughable. Claude Giroux is one of the most underrated prospects and will be playing for my favorite team next year, the Philadelphia Flyers.

Three 100-plus point seasons in junior, not to mention 51 points in 19 playoff games, proves Claude is a better player then Stamkos statistically.

There will be a Calder champion in Philly and a new French connection (Briere, Gagne, Giroux).
