Clutterbuck has three goals to power Wild to 5-1 exhibition win in Finland

TAMPERE, Finland - Cal Clutterbuck scored three goals while Marek Zidlicky and Chuck Kobasew had the others as the Minnesota Wild beat Ilves of Tampere 5-1 in an exhibition game Monday night.

Matt Cullen assisted on Clutterbuck's first two goals.

Casey Wellman, Mikko Koivu, John Madden and Eric Nystrom also picked up assists.

Clutterbuck put the Wild in the lead in the first period before scoring twice in the third. Minnesota scored four times overall in the final period.

Defenceman Jyrki Jokipakka of the Finnish League team scored in the second after Eric Nystrom failed to clear the puck.

Niklas Backstrom had 24 saves.

The Wild will face the Carolina Hurricanes to open the NHL season in Helsinki on Thursday and Friday.
